A Halloween Trick or Treating Story–
Sometime in the late 80’s I’d guess, somewhere in SE Iowa, these 4 adults dressed up for Halloween [2 cousins and their spouses] Trick or Treating in the farming communities of the county where they all were ‘born and raised.’ They stopped at people’s homes who knew them well, came in the house, but never spoke to anyone…then they left. Two of them were my parents!
Cousin Kathy G. W. says:
“The other 2 were my parents! They came in to our house and sat down at the table and started playing Old Maid. I offered drinks (water) at which they nodded a thank you. Then as quickly as they came in they got up and left without a single word. I knew who they were but Don was aghast😂”
