Easter Lamb Truck Wreck 1956

Wrecked 54 Chevy 1 ton dualie truck driven by Levi Roth with Ray Roth as passenger. They were taking a load of Easter lambs to market in Waterloo, IA. A semi jack-knifed on ice, and the trailer slammed into them. Levi was pinned inside and Ray was thrown from the truck. Gas leaked from the tank and a fire started under the truck where Levi was. George Widmer came by in a semi and put out the fire with his fire extinguisher. This occurred 1/2 mi north of Coralville Lake on old 218. The truck was in a wrecking yard in Iowa City, IA. 1956
