Fox Black with a White Tipped Tail

This little fox was from a litter of 5 at the bottom of the hill in a culvert. The only one of the litter which looks like its mother.

Into the 1960’s there was a fox farm at the north end of Palmer Lake. A few foxes escaped into the wild, and when the fur farming was over, some were released into the wild, creating a variety of fox colorations.
